Endless success for Maddie Garrick during the off-season

May 31, 2019 | Melbourne Boomers news

Boomers fan favourite Maddie Garrick is having a huge WNBL off-season, the 27-year-old winning gold at the 3×3 Asia Cup and signing a new contract with the Nunawading Spectres!

Coming off the back of an eight-week stint with Botas Spor in Turkey, Garrick has been representing Australia in the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup, and earlier this week helped the Aussies win the Gold Medal Match against Kazakhstan, 20-8.

Garrick played a vital role in the team’s success throughout the tournament.

Both the men’s and women’s Australian teams won Gold at the 3×3 Asia Cup, the men’s team backing-up their 2018 title.

In addition to her on-court success this week, Garrick signed with the Nunawading Spectres for the remainder of the 2019 NBL1 Season.

This is exciting news for both Garrick and the Spectres, whose performances this season will no doubt be boosted by the addition of one of the Boomers’ star players.

Congratulations Maddie!
