Simon Cosier

Local Association: Basketball ACT, ACT

WNBL Experience:  102 games

Occupation:  Event Manager

Playing Experience: Junior Representative player

Involvement in Refereeing:  Shortly after I started playing at the age of 10 I did my beginner referees course at Hornsby Basketball in Sydney and used to spend most Saturday’s playing, coaching or refereeing at the PCYC. When I was in U16’s I started taking refereeing more seriously than playing and went from playing reps to refereeing it.

Mentors:I grew up watching and looking up to Billy Mildenhall Ray Hunt and Roger Shiels as a younger official. When I started officiating higher level games, Matt Townsend was someone I worked closely with over a number of years. These days, you pick bits and pieces from lots of people to continue to evolve as an official
