Canadian superstar set to join the JCU Fire in 2019/2020

Bridget Carleton will join the JCU Townsville Fire in the upcoming Chemist Warehouse WNBL Season, the 22 year old Canadian  formerly played with the Iowa State Cyclones and is part of the Canadian team.

The Canadian was the 21st draft in the WNBA this year and was picked up by the Connecticut  Suns, Carleton, a 6-foot-1 versatile star who solidified herself as one of the greatest players in Iowa State history, she collected several awards last season in leading the Cyclones to a 26-9 record and the second round of the NCAA tournament. She became the first Canadian to win the Cheryl Miller Award as the NCAA’s top small forward, plus was named the Big 12 player of the year.She rewrote the Cyclones record book, setting single-season marks for scoring, averaging 21.7 pionts per game, plus points scored (760), field goals made (254) and field goals attempted (543).
