UC Capitals pre-season games announced
The University of Canberra Capitals are ready to warm up for the 2019-20 Chemist Warehouse WNBL season with a lineup of pre-season games.
Head Coach Paul Goriss said that they are excited to get the season underway with two open games and one closed scrimmage against some good quality opposition.
“Aisin always provide a point of difference with their unique style of play and their ball movement and they quickness they play with.
“Along with Aisin we will get to play China B team which will provide an excellent match up for us with China being renowned for having great depth of talent and size.
“These games will allow us to assimilate our new players into our Capitals style of play and also for the coaches to see how we best use the talent we have recruited this season.
“I’m excited to get Olivia Epoupa on court and see the livewire guard in action. It gives us a barometer on what areas we need to improve prior to commencement of the WNBL and create our identity as a team and to try and do some new things with this team,” said Goriss.
