Adelaide Lightning is excited to announce the return of our skilful shooting guard and former development player Brooke Basham for the upcoming season.
After elevating herself during her debut contracted season with the Adelaide Lightning last year, Basham is returning after securing a spot on the playing roster.
The 172cm Victor Harbour local is excited to be returning to the Lightning and cannot wait to get to work with the team.
‘‘I’m so excited to be back with the Adelaide Lightning. It’s a true honour playing for my home city and to be apart of this special organisation. Winning and being the best possible teammate I can be is all I care about and I am determined to contribute in any way I can.’
The talented shooting guard is currently playing for the North Adelaide Rockets in the NBL1 averaging 23.35 PPG and recently won the points per game average across the league.
Adelaide Lightning Head Coach, Nat Hurst said that Basham has earned this spot after her hard work has truly paid off.
“I’m really happy to have Brooke signing back with the team. In limited time last season she was able to show her ability and how she is more than capable to compete in this league. She has all the qualities we want to continue to build our culture and it wouldn’t be a lightning group without her.”
Adelaide Lightning is looking forward to Brooke’s return this season.
