Build The Wall – Save The Lightning Campaign Goes Live!

March 19, 2019 | Adelaide Lightning news

The campaign to save the Adelaide Lighting from folding has now gone live. The lifeline provided to the Adelaide Lightning by Titanium Security Arena’s Chairman Bruce Spangler has given the club some breathing space but to remain viable it is essential that our new model is successful.

The Lightning have opted for a new model that gives fans and business the opportunity to get involved and provide some ownership over the teams’ future.

“We really want to be a team that represents all aspects of the South Australian Community,” says Lighting General Manager Mandy Spear. “It is important that support comes outside traditional avenues of support like women in business, business owners, all cultural backgrounds, and anyone who is proudly South Australian.”

There are two campaigns running to help save the team. The first is “donate a brick” to get your name on the inclusion wall that goes in the players race where players run out of the tunnel onto the court. Bricks are only $25 each.

The other campaign is to get your name or business name on the Adelaide Lightning singlet design so they will be wearing your contribution with pride every home game. There are 1,000 spots available, Adelaide Lightning only have a matter of months to secure the names to remain viable.
