Adelaide Lightning continues to take steps towards our future as we today officially confirm our home venue for the 2021/2022 season in the Lights Sports and Community Centre.

Adelaide Lightning can confirm all home games for the 2021/2022 WNBL season will be played at The Lights Sports and Community Centre in a step towards a permanent home at the South Australian State Basketball Centre at Wayville.

Lightning General Manager, Tim Brenton, shared about the need and the opportunity to connect with the growing basketball public interested in women’s sports, in particular basketball.

“Our partnership with Port Adelaide Enfield Council and The Lights is an exciting time for our organisation” Brenton described to Lightning Media.

“Having the support of Mayor, Claire Boan who is passionate about her community and women’s sport is amazing, we are looking forward to delivering community events and basketball experiences with a focus on female participation”.

The first home game at the Lights is December 11, 2021 against Townsville Fire.  Memberships are currently on sale. For more information please click here
