Foundation partner La Trobe on board for 2023-24 season
Bendigo Spirit are excited to continue our partnership with foundation partner La Trobe University.
The partnership will see the La Trobe brand proudly represented on the playing uniform, as well as providing opportunities for La Trobe students to undertake an internship or placement with the team across a range of courses including health science, marketing, sport management and human resources.
Spirit players have also been able to take advantage of the university’s resources and facilities as another major benefit of the partnership.
La Trobe’s Bendigo campus, which was founded back in 1991, is the university’s largest in regional Victoria, with more than 4000 students and 400 staff. A fanbase that Bendigo Spirit will be closely aligning to across the season via activations and experiences.
“We’re very grateful for the continued support of foundation partner La Trobe University,” Bendigo Spirit general manager of operations David Ingham said.
“Like the Spirit, La Trobe has been a household name in the Bendigo region for a long time.
“This partnership will see the Spirit utilising La Trobe’s industry-leading resources and facilities, with opportunities also available for students to get involved with our club in various intern roles.”
“We are really proud of the partnership we have cultivated with Bendigo Spirit as it typifies the meaningful impact La Trobe can have when we collaborate with local organisations with shared interests ” Melanie Bish, Pro Vice-Chancellor Regional La Trobe University, added.
