Bendigo Bank Spirit head coach Simon Pritchard has been selected to represent Australia as an assistant coach for the WomenÕs World University Games team which will contest the event in Taiwan in August. Pritchard and Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence womenÕs head coach Kristen Veal will work with Adelaide Lightning and team head coach Chris Lucas. ÒIts always an honour to represent your country and I have been so lucky to be attending my 3rd WUG. The team will work hard to get a medal for the Uniroos. The team will get together for a pre tournament in Japan then move to Taipei for the tournament. We have a really tough pool but if we can get through that we should be well placed for the crossovers.Ó Pritchard said PritchardÕs selection comes on the back of Bendigo Bank Spirit star Kelsey Griffin recently being selected in the Opals squad to attend their camp in Phoenix Arizona later this month ahead of the FIBA WomenÕs Asia Cup to be held in India in July.
