Spirit hit the road for TAC Geelong clash
Bendigo Spirit hit the road this week for the first of two games in Geelong this WNBL season.
The Spirit host Adelaide Lightning at Geelong Arena on Friday night as part of a Round 7 double-header, hoping for their third win in four matches.
Thanks to the partnership with major partner Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Bendigo feature twice in Geelong in the space of a month, with the second against reigning champs Townsville Fire on January 7.
In both games, the Spirit with wear specially designed jerseys featuring road lines inside a yellow sash.
There will also be all-abilities curtain-raisers ahead of both games.
Bendigo have fond memories of their last outing against the Lightning, having prevailed 70-65 in an overtime epic in Adelaide earlier in the month.
The team arrives in Geelong on Wednesday, with players and coaching staff hosting nine clinics across two days in the lead-up to the Friday night clash.
Sunday sees the Spirit return to Red Energy Arena to host Southside Flyers.
