BOODY JOINS LEAGUE TO HELP FIGHT PERIOD POVERTY

November 20, 2023 | WNBL news

The Cygnett WNBL is pleased to announce that Boody will join the league as an official Social Cause Partner, aligning with the Fighting Period Poverty round.

Period poverty is an issue affecting 20% of people who menstruate in Australia. This round’s objectives include raising awareness, collecting and distributing sanitary products, and raising funds for the charity partner, Share the Dignity. Among other key support areas, Boody will provide 1,000 pairs of period undies for the round.

Ruth Haffenden, Boody’s Global Head of Brand and Marketing, explains –
“The alignment between Boody, WNBL and the Fighting Period Poverty round felt extremely organic. We’re proud to use our platform to raise awareness, funds, and products for the 1 in 5 menstruating people currently experiencing Period Poverty. WNBL and Share the Dignity are doing amazing work, and we’re excited to help facilitate this while supporting an outstanding group of athletes.”

As the presenting partner, Boody will be formally aligned with the Fighting Period Poverty round.

The inclusion of Boody was welcomed by the Head of WNBL, Christy Collier-Hill.

“Boody is an Australian-owned and operated company, who are committed to having a positive impact in our communities. The values and cause alignment is really significant, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with them”.
