Cygnett WNBL Announces International Broadcast Deal for Finals
The Cygnett Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) is thrilled to announce a new international broadcast distribution plan for the Finals. From 8 March, the Finals will be broadcast in more than 100 countries, giving basketball fans from around the world an opportunity to enjoy Australia’s elite women’s basketball competition.
As the 2022-23 WNBL season prepares to conclude one of the most competitive regular seasons to date, the international Finals coverage is an exciting opportunity to engage new audiences with the WNBL.
The partnerships with broadcasters ESPN, beIN Sport and Unbeaten will see the WNBL Finals available to watch in the United States, Canada, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America.
In Australia, all Finals games will be available to fans on ESPN, with select games available to stream on 9Now as well. The WNBL fixture is available to reference, here.

“We have some incredibly talented players and teams and are thrilled to showcase them on an international stage. This is a significant milestone for our league, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on our players, fans and stakeholders.”
The WNBL Finals will feature the top four teams including Townsville Fire (1st), Southside Flyers (2nd) and Melbourne Boomers (3rd). The battle for the fourth position between the Perth Lynx (4th) and Bendigo Spirit (5th) will come down to the results of the final round of the regular season this week.
The Finals format includes two best-of-three semi-finals’ series between 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd. The winners will advance to another best-of-three grand final series.
The Finals action commences on Wednesday 8 March, when fans around the world can tune in to see which team will be crowned WNBL Champions.
