HOBART PROVIDES NEW VIBE FOR BRIT SMART

May 24, 2018 | WNBL news

Having come off a successful WNBL season with the Deakin Melbourne Boomers, Brit Smart had a few different options when it came to where she would land for SEABL18. After a few years of attempts, the Hobart Chargers were able to secure the guard and Smart made the move to Tasmania.

Embracing the strong community feel and basketball town vibe in Hobart, Smart has found a new home and some fantastic form as the Chargers gain momentum and made a bid to secure a finals spot.

Averaging 22.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game so far for the season, Smart seems to be finding her feet and is looking forward to helping push the Chargers closer to a championship.

Making the move to Tasmania for SEABL won’t be the only change of scenery this year with Smart heading to join the Sydney Uni Flames for the 2018-19 WNBL season.
