HoopsFest Lineups

With HoopsFest now only nine days away the team lists are close to being finalised as we head for Perth.  

In what will be a mixture of current and future WNBL stars,plus up and coming talents from around the country, we can’t wait to see all WNBL teams back on the court in the leadup to the season. 

Adelaide Lightning 

The Lightning will be close to full strength with stars Izzy Borlase and Isabelle Bourne headlining the team.  

Team List; Isobel Borlase, Isabelle Bourne, Maddy Freer, Brooke Basham, Ella Gordon, Georgia Pineau, Haylee Andrews, Jess Simons, Sienna Grieger, Grace Graham.  

Bendigo Spirit 

The Spirit will have mainstays Abbey Wehrung and Casey Samuels with a mix of young talent rounding out the team.  

Team List; Abbey Wehrung, Casey Samuels, Ash Nightingale, Millie McCarthy, Georgia Booth, Micah Simpson, Lavinia Cox, Ash Hannan, Poppy Blanch.

Geelong United 

United’s first taste of WNBL action will be a team featuring the next generation of up-and-comers.  

Team List; Poppy Stevens, Poppy Myers, Miley Dawkins, Kiara Foster, Sienna McCumber, Taneille Knight, Grace Spehar, Dakota Crichton, Ally Knights 

Perth Lynx 

The home team will go into HoopsFest with almost all their big names as they prepare for the season.  

Team List; Anneli Maley, Ally Wilson, Miela Sowah, Mackenzie Clinch Hoycard, Alex Ciabattoni, Teige Morrell, Steph Gorman with 3 TBC 

Southside Flyers 

The reigning champions will send close to a full-strength team to HoopsFest with superstars Maddy Rocci and Bec Cole on their way to Perth.  

Team List; Maddy Rocci, Bec Cole, Alice Kunek, Manuela Puoch, Dallas Loughridge, Nikita Young, Sarah Portlock, Imogen Rock, Shannon Dufficy.  

Sydney Flames 

The Flames will be sending a team full of Future Flames to HoopsFest highlighting the legitimate pathway of the program for NSW-based talent. 

Team List; Caitlyn Martin, Carla Pitman, Lily Austin, Sari Mowbray, Piper Anderson, Emily Garland, Asha Phillips, Peggy Schell, Ella Leasuasu, and Maddie Dalmeida 

Townsville Fire 

The Fire have named development players Jess McDowell-White and Majella Carey to go alongside some young guns from Queensland including some Australian junior representatives.  

Team List; Jess McDowell-White, Majella Carey, Prasayus Notoa, Emma Petrie, Sharni Reisinger, Teyahna Bond, Clara Kolb, Macey Lahrs, Mikayla Pirini, Jess Jakens.  

UC Caps 

Canberra will feature new signing Indiah Bowyer who will play alongside eight current Centre of Excellence athletes.  

Team List; Indiah Bowyer, Monigue Bobongie, Sienna Harvey, Sienna Lehmann, Jade Crook, Zara Russell, Emilija Dakic, Sitaya Fagan, Monique Williams.
