Lightning strikes on Seattle Storm duo.

A WNBA reunion is set for Adelaide as the Lightning’s 22-year-old recruit, Kiana Williams landed in Australia earlier this week, just in time for preseason.

The first Lightning import to arrive, the sharpshooter will have to complete the required 14-day quarantine in South Australia before reuniting with Seattle Storm teammate, Steph Talbot.

The 2021/22 WNBL season will be a first for the American, with Lightning fans excited by the addition of the dynamic guard. Williams will be comforted by not only one but two familiar faces at the club, with college teammate Alanna Smith set to return to Australia within the next 24 hours.

A Stanford Cardinals fan favourite, Williams led the college side to the 2021 Championship, their first in almost three decades.

The January 2nd Adelaide Lightning and Melbourne Boomers clash will be one to watch for WNBA fans, as Talbot and Williams will go head to head with fellow Storm teammate Ezi Magbegor.
