No shortage of international talent hitting the court for #WNBL25
From the human highlight reels, to the flat-out scorers and elite defenders, there’s been no shortage of international talent across four decades of the Cygnett WNBL.
And talent from abroad will be on show across the league with every team boasting an import for the upcoming season which tips off on Wednesday October 30.
US-born guard Nicole Munger is suiting up with the UC Capitals for a third season while 2023-24 All-WNBL Second Team member Naz Hillmon is returning to Victoria. After impressing with the now defunct Melbourne Boomers, she has now soared Southside for summer.
For a third season, Brianna Turner will play for Adelaide Lightning following previous appearances in #WNBL24 and 2019-20.
Players fresh from WNBA campaigns have landed Down Under ready for their first WNBL experience including Sydney’s Celeste Taylor (Phoenix Mercury), Geelong’s Haley Jones (Atlanta Dream) and Bendigo’s Veronica Burton (Connecticut Sun).
It’s been a big year for Laeticia Amihere playing for Atlanta in the WNBA and representing her country, Canada, in Paris. She will be one of four Olympians on Perth Lynx’s roster.
The likes of Mikayla Vaugn (Southside), Japreece Dean (Adelaide), Lauren Cox (Townsville Fire), Yemiyah Morris (Sydney) and Lynetta Kizer (Geelong) bring their skillsets and various experience from college, Europe and the WNBA.
Former No.1 WNBA draft pick Charli Collier is set to pack a punch in the paint for the Caps.
