OLYMPIC UPDATE – MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

We are experiencing unprecedented times globally and in our sport of Basketball we have been working with all areas of the sport across Australia to ensure we are making decisions that protect the health and safety of the community, our participants and athletes. 

 As a result of the International Olympic Committee’s announcement overnight and previous statements by the Australian Olympic Committee Basketball Australia has commenced planning for the Olympic games to be held in Tokyo 2021.  We support this change and know it’s made in the best interests of our athletes, support staff and the community’s health, safety and well-being. I would like to personally thank the Basketball sector for their ongoing support and commitment as we navigate our way through these challenging times.
