A different looking Team of the Week graces Round 18 with four debutants and one player who has only been named twice for 2016/17 nominated this week.

Following her Player of the Week award, Kelly Wilson represents the JCU Townsville Fire in this round’s Team of the Week after recording 16 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and a steal to help the Fire inch closer towards a playoff berth.

She is joined by MAC Adelaide Lightning’s Alex Ciabattoni who also came close to a triple-double in their narrow loss to the Boomers, finishing with 15 points, six boards, eight assists and a block.

Abbey Wehrung of the University of Canberra Capitals played only 21 minutes on Sunday before going down with a season-ending ankle injury but her 5-6 three-point shooting for 18 points proved a dagger in the heart of the Spirit as they were officially knocked out of the playoff race.

Carley Mijovic is the fourth debutant in the Round 18 Team of the Week, recording a double-double in the first half before going on to finish with 17 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks in an overtime win against Melbourne.

Rounding out the team is Belinda Snell of the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames who makes her second appearance after being named in Round 16.

She tallied 17 points, six rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a strong performance at both ends of the court as the Flames dealt with the Rangers on Saturday night.
