RUEF SIGNS TRAINING CAMP CONTRACT WITH LA SPARKS

The University of Canberra CapitalsÕ Mikaela Ruef has signed a training camp contract with reigning WNBA champions, the Los Angeles Sparks.

In her first season with the UC Capitals, the 26 year old averaged the 11 rebounds (the most in the WNBL) and 12.4 points per game.

She was one of only two players in the league to average a double-double per game along with MVP winner, Suzy Batkovic.

Ruef, who played college basketball in California for the Stanford Cardinals also made the WNBL Team of the Week three times.

Everyone at the UC Capitals would like to thank Mikaela for her contributions to the club and wishes her the best in her future endeavours.
