Perth Lynx dominate Southside Flyers in game 1 of the Grand Final series

The first game of the WNBL Grand Final series tipped off with a bang where an exciting match up ensued between Southside Flyers and Perth Lynx at Melbourne Sports Centre. Perth came out victorious against the Flyers, defeating them 79-101. Both teams came out with intensity from the get go to try and secure the upper hand going into the second round of the series. However, Perth’s quick pace and ferocity saw them clinch the much needed win.

Perth came out with sheer dominance from the get-go, establishing a 23-point lead by halftime. Southside struggled to match their pace as the Lynx seemed unstoppable, sinking shots from everywhere.

Amy Atwell displayed sheer 3-point shooting brilliance, sinking 9 3-pointers from everywhere outside the arc, finishing the game with a massive 30 points.

The two teams will now prepare to face off again for the second game of the Grand Final series. Perth Lynx will undoubtedly be bringing the confidence, whilst Southside Flyers will need to evaluate how they will prevail over the Lynx.
