Round 10 Heat Check: Keely Froling
Captain consistency is still doing her thing.
Keely Froling has been Geelong United’s workhorse so far this season. After a 17 point effort in Canberra over the weekend, Keely’s averages have now climbed to 14.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for the season.
The result may not have gone in our favour, but with Keely’s continuous efforts along with some positive signs from her teammates (including 13 points off the bench from Daniel Raber and 12 points from import star Haley Jones), the only way is up for our young side as they navigate their way through the club’s inaugural season.
It’s a busy week ahead, with round 11 serving up 2 games, one away this Wednesday night to Southside, and the second back at home for the first time since early December as we take on Perth this Sunday from 12:30pm.
