Hustle like Hank – That was the line on one particular sign in the crowd over the weekend at the Geelong Arena from some diehard fans, highlighting the hard work Hannah Hank has been putting in so far this season.

With captain Keely Froling out for the remainder of our inaugural campaign, Hannah has seen a significant jump in minutes as starting center, and our double header weekend was where she really made her mark.

Friday’s win over Sydney turned out to be a warmup for what would be her breakout game a few days later, racking up numbers everywhere on the floor including 5 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal against the Flames.

Then on Sunday afternoon, although the result didn’t go in our favour, Hannah proved that she can hang with the tall timber of the league in Marianna Tolo, doing her part to restrict her to just 9 points for the contest – Down from her usual average of 15.

Hannah though would pile on the points herself – A season high 18 combined with 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.

The run home for the season will see us come up against Bendigo once again for our next home game on January 29 – Get your tickets to the gameĀ here.
