Round 13 Heat Check: Alex Sharp

Since arriving in Geelong, Alex Sharp has been once again showing the form that saw her crowned last seasons WNBL Breakout Player of the Year.
Currently averaging 8.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists across her 8 outings so far this season, Alex has quickly found her stride in the Geelong structure and has proven especially handy in lifting Geelong’s rebounding power.
Against Townsville last Saturday night, Alex had 15 points, 3 assists and a whopping 13 rebounds.
“It took me a second just to get the feel of things,” Sharp said regarding her addition to the team in December. “I definitely feel much more comfortable now on the court.”
We’ll be looking for Alex to bring some big numbers once again as we get back on home court tomorrow night, taking on ladder leaders Bendigo as we don our special edition Pride uniform.
