Round 16 Heat Check: Elissa Brett

In our last outing of the season, it was Elissa Brett’s time to shine.

Playing off the bench in our Sunday clash against Adelaide, Elissa capped off a season of solid form with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist in her 24 minutes on the floor.

A defensive threat throughout the season, Brett showed she could get things done offensively as well, shooting at 50% from 3 point range (4 of 8), and an impressive 75% inside the arc (3 of 4).

With that, our inaugural season now comes to a close with our club awards night coming up tomorrow evening – Elissa being one of the strong contenders among the squad to receive Defensive Player of the Year honours.
