22 November 2017: The Deakin Melbourne Boomers have accepted a one game suspension offered to player Liz Cambage for an incident against Canberra Capitals on Saturday November 18 at the State Basketball Centre.

“Both Liz and the club accept the decision by the WNBL’s Game Review Panel (GRP)” said Boomers General Manager, Justin Nelson.

“Liz has a lot of terrific qualities on and off the court, and constantly goes above and beyond to engage with her fans and supporters.”

“Liz accepts the finding of the GRP and we look forward to seeing her back in action this Sunday.”

“We’re also pleased Mistie is ok and was able to play out the game.”

Liz will miss this Thursday night’s game in Townsville and will remain in Melbourne to train hard ahead of Sunday’s game against Sydney. The Boomers also look forward to hosting Canberra again for the return match on Saturday night (2 December) at the annual Dads & Daughters Night. Both games will be at the State Basketball Centre.
