"You hear everyone talk about the Boomers as being a family club and I remember when I first came to the club it was something you really did feel straight away. That whole sense of community, family and being included is just a hallmark of what the Boomers fans for." For Boomers coach Guy Molloy, who has Penaluna on court with him each week atÊthe Melbourne Boomers Girls Academy, the role of being an ambassador is one he sees as a perfect fit. "Elyse lovesÊthe game and she continues to be a big part ofÊthe Boomers family," said Molloy, addingÊ"Even though she has beenÊsidelined through injury in recent times, her passion for what we are doing at the club has never waned and at most games you willÊseeÊElyse with her mum sitting onÊthe sideline supporting the team." "For 34 years the Boomers have been in the WNBL and it's just so important Melbourne continues to be represented at the top level." "Even though I'm not out on court with the team I love going to the games, talking to the fans and enjoying the great atmosphere you always have at a Boomers game."
