Boomers show appreciation to loyal fans

January 7, 2019 | Melbourne Boomers news

At the Deakin Melbourne Boomers we recognise how important our fans are, last Friday this was supported by our game theme Fan Appreciation. When it comes to fan appreciation, the Deakin Melbourne Boomers place it as a top priority. Our fans are #1 and we endeavour to perform on and off the court for them.

These photos capture the essence of our evening with over 2,600 fans in attendance for the last home and away game of the season.

This was echoed in an email by a family who took the time to pass on their experience:

“This was our first season as Boomer Members, it was so much more than we could have expected. The atmosphere from when you walk in to when you walk out and everything in between is phenomenal. Justin & his team have created an amazing experience each and every game. My daughter has loved going up and saying hi to the players after each game (and sometimes a cheeky ‘Hi’ to Chelsea on her way in). She has been so inspired watching the girls play. She is a tiny little pocket rocket & watching players like Lindsay & Monique who aren’t the tallest but still make large impacts has really built up her own confidence. It’s little things like this that the girls may not even think they are doing but they are, each time they take the court. Tonight, my heart nearly exploded when my daughter turned to me and said “Mum, watching the Boomers makes me want to play for them when I get older! So from a Mum of a little inspired girl I’d like to say a HUGE THANK YOU! Thank you to absolutely everyone involved with the Deakin Melbourne Boomers Organisation.”
