Deakin Melbourne Boomers Finals Prospects

February 23, 2024 | Melbourne Boomers news

With the season drawing to a close, there are still 6 teams in contention for a place in the 2023/24 WNBL Finals.

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers currently 5th on the WNBL ladder, having dropped down after an unexpected win from Bendigo against Townsville who still currently sit first.

For the Boomers’ last match coming up on Saturday, February 24, there is a lot on the line with the competition being so tight, most teams only separated by a few wins and losses.

There are several scenarios in play for the upcoming finals and after last night’s match with the Flyers extinguishing the Fire, things are very tight. Read below at the various possibilities.

The Boomers could even finish as high as third if we lose to Canberra and either Bendigo or Sydney lose their last matches.
