Cayla George, the other half of last year’s dynamic co-captain duo, is set to return to the Deakin Melbourne Boomers for WNBL Season 2020/21.

Suiting up for a third consecutive year, the Australian Opal has her sights set on building on the successful foundations of the Club and taking the team one better than their semi-final berth last year.

“With a huge chunk of the girls coming back, a few key add-ons and great culture on and off the court, I think this season is going to be legit.”

While she’s kept herself busy in the off-season with no basketball (running her businesses CaylaGeorge.com and Rehmee and Coco), George is excited to get back on court.

“I’m super hyped to be coming back to BOOM TOWN for a third season! The Boomers family on and off court have made me feel super welcomed and loved.”

Off the back of hitting 250 WNBL games last season and being inducted into the WNBL Hall-of-Fame, George will be coming into her 15th year in the WNBL – looking to make it her best.

George is part of the Opals squad that will be travelling to Tokyo next year, and therefore a strong and successful WNBL season will be at the forefront of her mind.

As 2020/21 looks to be an interesting season with no imports, we’re excited to see George back out on court for the Boomers, doing her thing.
