Maddie Garrick Locked And Loaded For Boomers

March 18, 2018 | Melbourne Boomers news

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers continue to build ahead of the 2018/19 WNBL season with news that popular guard Maddie Garrick has signed for what will be her fourth season with the club.

Originally from Shepparton and having plied her trade as a junior at Bulleen, Garrick can’t wait to get back on court for Melbourne’s WNBL team.

“I’m looking forward to returning to the club for my fourth season and building on our growth and successes from last season, said Garrick.

“We are going to be a super competitive and talented squad, and it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to keep growing individually, along with the team collectively.”

“I can’t wait to see all the members and fans again, they are such a big part of everything we do,” Garrick added.

Coach Guy Molloy is also looking forward to working with Garrick for a fourth consecutive season.

“I’m really pleased Maddie is returning. We know she is an outstanding player who, though solid through last season, didn’t hit the heights she herself expected,” explained Molloy.

“However, she is unbelievably dedicated and has her own points to prove. Therefore we expect she will be a very dangerous player by the time October rolls around.”

Garrick is the eighth player to be announced by the Boomers, joining Jenna O’Hea, Cayla Francis, Jaz Shelley, Monique Conti, Chelsea D’Angelo, Ash Grant and Kalani Purcell.

Tomorrow a new player will be welcomed to the Boomers Family in yet another exciting announcement for Melbourne’s WNBL team.
