MATCH PREVIEW: Boomers face NBL1 All Stars in pre-season opener
After falling at the penultimate hurdle last season, our Deakin Melbourne Boomers are back and stronger than ever, taking on the NBL1 AllStars in their first pre-season outing on Saturday Night.
Welcoming four new faces, and a core of returning fan favourites, the team are in excellent shape ahead up the upcoming WNBL season.
Keep an eye out for Stella Beck, Penina Davidson and Toni Farnworth as they all make their Boomers debut.
“We’re all really excited for this weekends game, it’s our first chance to all play together in a real game situation, so it’ll be good” Beck said when asked how she was feeling about the upcoming game against the AllStars.
Presented by Bulleen Boomers, the match is a commemorative celebration of the Boomers history and a celebration of the alliance between the Deakin Melbourne Boomers and The Bulleen Boomers, a game not to be missed.
