Pre-Season Bonanza For Boomers Fans

July 13, 2018 | Melbourne Boomers news

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers will play in six pre-season games this September and October, with four games scheduled for regional areas and two games to be played in Melbourne.

For a fourth successive year the Boomers will travel to Ballarat (Sept 8) where a number of clinics and community initiatives will be included.

Melbourne’s WNBL club also recently announced the Triple Crown (Sept 13-16) which will feature three games in Gippsland against Bendigo.

The Triple Crown will include games in Traralgon, Maffra and Warragul.

For the first time the Boomers will play at Casey’s (Sept 23) new basketball stadium, while the team’s final pre-season game will be played at the State Basketball Centre (Oct 5) and include a free clinic for all junior members.

“It’s a fantastic pre-season schedule where we get to take the team all around Victoria and connect with multiple communities,” said Boomers GM, Justin Nelson.

“We expect big crowds and lots of interaction. Given last season finished in January it’s fair to say the fans can’t wait for the on-court action to start.”
