Tess Madgen takes on role as Boomers Academy Manager

We’re thrilled to announce Tess Madgen as Boomers Academy Manager & Head Coach.

You’ll already know the Boomers’ star and Australian Opal, as the Academy Head Coach at events but in her updated role will also be taking on the Manager role, seeing her administer the program.

Madgen loves taking her own commitment and passion to learning new skills and constantly be a better player and use it offer young people the encouragement and opportunity to do the same – maybe even creating some future elite ballers along the way.

She is a basketball superstar, having played for the Opals in this year’s Tokyo Olympics, the WNBL since 2008, with stints overseas in Europe and in the WNBA with the Phoenix Mercury.

Melbourne Boomers General Manager, Christy Collier-Hill, is excited to see Madgen take on her new role.

Our Boomers Academy provides a range of clinics and camps for boys and girls aged 6-14 years old.
