September 12, 2017 | Melbourne Boomers news

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers will feature in six home and away games live on Fox Sports this WNBL season, including the team’s opening clash against Townsville Fire on Saturday October 7.

With Liz Cambage, Jenna O’Hea and Louella Tomlinson all returning home to play for Melbourne’s WNBL team continues to create plenty of excitement, and now members and supporters of the Boomers will get to see plenty of their team live on Fox Sports.

The Boomers will feature in three home games on Saturday October 7 (vs Townsville), Saturday November 18 (vs Canberra) and Saturday December 30 (vs Dandenong), while the team will also be broadcast on the road with away games on Saturday November 11 (@ Sydney), Saturday December 9 (@ Adelaide) and Saturday December 23 (@ Perth) all set to feature.

Fox Sports will also broadcast all the WNBL finals.

“We’re really excited about the coming season returning to television with Fox Sports getting behind the league with at least one game being shown live every Saturday at 3pm,” said Boomers GM Justin Nelson.

“For our supporters to see Melbourne’s WNBL team on television at least six times is terrific, in particular for the many fans we have living in regional areas and other parts of Australia.”

“We have a strong base of fans who I know will come along to those home games being televised and make it an incredible atmosphere for the television audience. Our crowds sure know how to make some noise,” added Nelson.
