Ultimate Game Guide: Boomers head north to take on Townsville Fire in their second match this weekend

October 26, 2019 | Melbourne Boomers news

Coming off a spectacular 35 point win against last seasons champions the UC Capitals on Friday Night at Geelong Stadium, the team are soaring north to Townsville to take on the Fire.

After claiming a sensational third win of the season the Boomers are going to be giving it everything they’ve got to come out against Townsville with a 4-0 win status and maintain their top spot on the ladder.

After three loses to open their WNBL season, with the support of their home crowd, Townsville will no doubt be motivated to claim their first win.

Boomers Head Coach Guy Molloy believes Townsville will be very determined as they’re ready and needing to stake their first win of the season.

“They [Townsville] have been sitting and waiting since last weekend, we know that they’re pretty desperate now as they’re 0-3, haven’t won a game and they’re at home so its a huge game for them”.

“We’re expecting a team that’s prepared, emotional and ready to go. I’m sure that they’ll take it right up to us”.
