200 GAMES FOR SCHERF
Lauren Scherf is set to play her 200th game on Sunday when the Perth Lynx take on Melbourne Boomers in Melbourne.
Currently in her 10th WNBL season (second with the Lynx), Scherf continues to improve her game after making her WNBL debut in the 2013/14 season for Dandenong.
As the tallest player in the league at 198cm, Scherf has become one of the best bigs in the country.
She not only dominates on the boards, currently ranked third in the league for average rebounds (10.3 RPG) but is ranked in the top five in the league for assists (5.3 APG).
Scherf’s versatility has become one of her biggest assets and has been on fire for the Lynx this season.
Scherf’s accolades include Betty Watson Rookie of the Year (2014/15), WNBL Champion, 3×3 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist, and was an integral part of the Opals journey to the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
Congratulations on this milestone, Loz!
Jon us on Wednesday 1st Feb at HOME, when we celebrate this huge achievement!
