Australian Opals call up for Alice Kunek

New Perth Lynx signing Alice Kunek has been named to the Australian Opals team ahead of the FIBA Women's Asian Cup. After impressing at the recent Opals training camp Kunek, a FIBA Oceania gold medallist with the Opals in 2015, steps into the team alongside Alanna Smith, replacing injured pair Abby Bishop and Alex Bunton. Bringing her size and athleticism to the Opals, Kunek is well versed in international play, having also claimed bronze with the World University Games Emerging Opals team in 2013. The Opals are set to head out for India on July 17 before their first game of the FIBA Women's Asian Cup on July 23.
