Goodchild returns after brilliant debut season

Sharpshooter Miela Goodchild is back for a second season at Perth Lynx in a massive boost for the roster.

The 24-year-old guard enjoyed an impressive debut season at the Lynx, averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Goodchild has spent the off-season playing for NBL1 North outfit North Gold Coast, putting up massive averages of 28.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

“I’m so pumped to be heading back west to the Lynx,” Goodchild said.

“It’s a super fun system of basketball playing under Ryan (head coach Ryan Petrik), with the girls and of course the Lynx fans.

“I’ve been working really hard and I’m ready to get back to work with the group. We have unfinished business!”

“We’re delighted to welcome Miela back for a second season,” Lynx general manager Samantha Macpherson added.

“Miela had an instant on-court impact with her shooting and rebounding particular impressive.

“Coming off a massive NBL1 North campaign, Miela is another important piece to our roster for the upcoming season as we look to go one better in 2024-25.”
