Lynx fall in OT heartbreaker

The Perth Lynx have fallen 93-97 to the Southside Flyers in an overtime heartbreaker in Dandenong.

After trailing by as much as eight points, the Lynx fought their way back with a 13-2 run in the fourth to send the game to a deciding extra period.

The extra minutes were closely contested, but the Flyers got away in the final minute to come away with the four-point lead.

Alison Schwagmeyer-Belger was outstanding for the Lynx.

She backed up her Round One double-double effort with a monstrous 34 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

The Lynx get the opportunity to bounce back on Sunday when they take on the Bendigo Spirit.
