MICHAEL ‘SONNY’ WALTERS LOCKED IN AS LYNX #1 TICKET HOLDER FOR WNBL SEASON

The Perth Lynx organisation are thrilled to announce that Fremantle Football Club Life Member and 2019 AFL All Australian Michael Walters is joining the club as the #1 Ticket holder for the upcoming season.

Michael’s sporting resume is extensive. Recruited from Swan Districts Football Club and making his debut with Fremantle Football Club in 2009, he has since played 222 games and kicked over 300 goals. He was named to the AFL All Australian Team in 2019 and was Fremantle’s leading goal kicker in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 & 2019.

Sonny, as he is affectionately known, has attended numerous Perth Lynx games with his wife and daughters and is excited to officially come on board to help elevate the profile of elite women in sport and the Perth Lynx organisation.

On his decision to come on board as the #1 Ticket Holder, Sonny said, “We loved coming to the Lynx games last season. The whole family had a great time, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want for a basketball game.

“My daughters play basketball, so I want them to be exposed to elite women in sports who are role models on and off the court. These Lynx players are next level. I recommend that anyone who hasn’t checked out a game do it this season!”
