In the final round of the SBL, Maddie Allen came up with a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double as her Rockingham Flames advanced to the Finals, where they’ll meet Mandurah in the first round.
In the NBL1, Marena Whittle’s Knox Raiders finished fifth and will face the eighth-seed Dandenong Rangers in their first Finals matchup.
The WNBA also broke for the All-Star weekend in Las Vegas.
Former Perth Lynx MVP Sami Whitcomb featured among the world’s best players, taking part in the Skills Challenge as part of the festivities.
Meanwhile, Whitcomb has joined current Lynx stars Lauren Mansfield and Katie-Rae Ebzery at Aussie Opals training camp in Arizona.
