PERTH LYNX ANNOUNCE REMAINING DP SPOTS

The Perth Lynx are excited to announce Emma Gandini, Mia Jacobs, and Mia Satie as Development Players for the upcoming season.

Perth Lynx General Manager Brent Dawkins said, “Adding three talented local Western Australian players to our development list for the 2021/22 Perth Lynx squad is a testament to each of the player’s continual development in the NBL1 West competition over the past 12 months. We look forward to seeing each of the athletes develop their games as the season progresses.”

Emma Gandini
Coming off the back of a stellar season, which saw Gandini awarded NBL1 West Defensive Player of the Year, she averaged 10 points, 2 assists and 6 rebounds during her NBL1 West regular season for Willetton Tigers.

Coach Ryan Petrik said, “Emma gives us a real point of difference to the offensively-minded guards we’ve already contracted, by bringing a real defensive mindset and up and in mentality that could prove to be invaluable to us as the season goes on”

Emma added, “I’m very excited to have been given the opportunity to join the team and play against some of the best players in the WNBL”

Mia added, “Playing for the Perth Lynx has always been a dream of mine and I’m so excited to develop my game further this season. Ryan has got the girls playing such an exciting game of basketball that I just can’t wait to be a part of it all. I’m also looking forward to teaming up with some of the girls that I normally play against and learning from the experienced coaching staff”

Mia Jacobs
Jacobs had a standout 2021 Nationals campaign with the WA Metro Women’s team and was invited to attend Basketball Australia’s National Performance Camp at the Centre of Excellence Jacobs averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds during her NBL1 West regular season for the Eastern Suns.
