Olivia Thompson scored a season high 29 points, along with 12 rebounds and four assists, to lead the Forestville Eagles to victory in the South Australian Premier League. Thompson has been on a statistical tear this season, leading the Premier League in rebounding at 14.4 per game, while averaging 21.9 points (second in league) and 4.2 assists (fifth). In Victoria, Alice Kunek led all players with 22 points and 12 rebounds, in another marathon 40-minute performance. It was the third time in four appearances that Kunek has played the entire game without rest; her 25.7ppg currently rank second in the league, while her 11.2rpg rebounds ranks fourth. In the WNBA, Sami Whitcomb’s tallied 12 points and four steals across two outings, with the Perth Lynx star having now solidified a consistent role for the Seattle Storm. Closer to home, Toni Farnworth notched eight points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Perry Lakes Hawks, though the league leader’s undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of Joondalup. Ashleigh Grant enjoyed a strong weekend out, opening with 21 points and 11 rebounds before adding five points and 14 boards in her second appearance. Kisha Lee tallied 33 points and 18 rebounds across two performances for the Stirling Senators.
