Alice Kunek and her Australian Opals teammates left for Arizona over the weekend, for a selection camp ahead of the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup on July 17. Olivia Thompson tallied a highly efficient 13 points and 11 rebounds in just 18 minutes of playing time, as her Forestville Eagles cruised to a 92-35 victory in the South Australian Premier League In the WNBA, Sami Whitcomb scored three points for the Seattle Storm in a narrow loss at the hands of the Phoenix Mercury. Trailing by three points, Whitcomb managed to fire off a long-range three pointer as time expired, but it wasn’t to be for the Storm.
