April 3, 2017 | Perth Lynx news
There were plenty of familiar faces on the court this past weekend, with Kisha Lee’s outstanding performance leading the way amongst the 2016/17 Perth Lynx players.
Lee enjoyed her finest SBL output to date, exploding for 41 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the Stirling Senators victory over the Cockburn Cougars.
Meanwhile, Toni Edmondson (16 points, four rebounds) and Natalie Burton (13 points, four rebounds) helped the undefeated Perry Lakes Hawks to their third consecutive victory.
The start of the season hasn’t been smooth sailing for the winless Kalamunda Eastern Suns, though Tahlia Fejo is continuing to see significant minutes and has found a rhythm in the early stages of the competition.
Fejo tallied 16 points and four assists on Friday evening, before adding 12 points and seven boards the following night.
In the SEABL, Carley Mijovic regained her shooting touch for the Frankston Lady Blues, connecting on seven threes on her way to 32 points against Launceston.
Mijovic then backed up her excellent performance with 20 points and 12 rebounds the following night.
Tenaya Phillips enjoyed a free scoring weekend of her own, scoring 23 points on Friday and 22 on Saturday, as Frankston claimed their first victory of the season.
