Toni Farnworth has added another medal to her off-season haul, claiming gold with New Zealand in the FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup.

Farnworth was one of four members of the New Zealand team that went undefeated in the tournament, defeating China in the final to claim gold medal honours.

Natalie Burton has claimed her first medal of the off-season, taking home the bronze medal in the German DBBL.

Burton scored six points with seven rebounds in the bronze medal game, capping off a strong season in which she led Herner TC in rebounds (8.8 per game), blocks (0.9) and steals (1.1).

Closer to home, Alison Schwagmeyer’s 23 points helped the Lakeside Lightning make short work of East Perth, while Alex Ciabattoni (16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists) and Jennie Rintala (18 points, 15 rebounds) fired the Kalamunda Eastern Suns to victory over Stirling.

The Willetton Tigers defeated Perth, despite the efforts of Redbacks pair Mikayla Pirini (12 points, five assists) and Kayla Standish (11 points, four rebounds).

2017 Perth Lynx development players Izzy Miotti (20 points, five rebounds) and Georgia Denehey (10 points, six assists) faced off in Eaton, with the South West Slammers pulling away for victory, 90-72.

Alice Kunek recorded an impressive double-double for the Eltham Wildcats in Victoria’s Big V league, finishing with 23 points and 16 boards.

In South Australia, Tahlia Fejo scored 15 points for the West Adelaide Bearcats, while Olivia Thompson tallied nine points and 12 rebounds to help the Forestville Eagles to their fourth win of the season.
