Olivia Thompson leads off this week’s off-season wrap, after racking up a massive 36 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in the South Australian Premier League.
The new Lynx signing continues to lead the league in rebounding (14.3 per game) and ranks second in scoring (21.6ppg).
Toni Farnworth joined her New Zealand Tall Ferns teammates as they set off for their first leg of the Asia Cup tournament, but not before helping the Perry Lakes Hawks two victories at the weekend.
Farnworth tallied 27 points, 16 rebounds and eight assists across two games, which saw the Hawks extend their lead atop the SBL ladder.
Natalie Burton enjoyed a monster weekend, notching two double-doubles and collecting two victories in the process.
Burton started the weekend with a bang, going for 19 points and 20 rebounds, before backing it up with 12 points and 11 boards.
Alice Kunek and her Opals teammates continued their training camp in Phoenix, as the team prepares for the Asia Cup.
In the WNBA, Sami Whitcomb tallied three points, three assists and two rebounds as her Seattle Storm returned to the winner’s list against the Dallas Wings.
