Perth Lynx shoot lights out in Bendigo

The Perth Lynx have smashed the Bendigo Spirit 89-66.

The result takes their season record to nine wins and 11 losses.

After a relatively tight first quarter, it on was all one way traffic as the Lynx set about building an unassailable lead with 30-plus point second and third terms.

Katie Ebzery led the way on the scoreboard with 28 points, while Ariel Atkins racked up a double-double with 16 points, 10 boards plus four assists.

Marena Whittle finished with 18 points on on four threes, while Nadeen Payne grabbed nine boards and Lauren Mansfield dished out nine assists.

The Lynx, who were without star Alison Schwagmeyer-Belger, shot the lights out from long range, hitting 15 threes at almost 60 per cent.

Perth face another road double-header to close out the season next weekend.
