Naz Hillmon from the WNBA to the Flyers

Naz Hillmon joins the Flyers.
After a strong first season in the WNBL, where she was top ten in the league for points and rebounds, Naz Hillmon is returning to Australia for a second season in the WNBL, this time with Southside Flyers.
Naz was a fan favourite with the Melbourne Boomers last season, on her way to selection in the WNBL Second Team of the Year.

“I am so excited to be coming back to Melbourne, this time in Flyers colours, and I hope the supporters come out in force to cheer us on”, Naz said this week from Atlanta.
Selection 15 in the 2022 WNBA Draft by Atlanta Dream, Naz will be coming straight from the WNBA playoffs, where she started for the Dream in their first round playoff series against New York.
Flyers coach Kristi Harrower is thrilled that Naz is returning to Australia to be part of the Flyers team. Having seen Naz’s work ethic and playing ability first hand in her role as Assistant Coach at the Boomers last season, Kristi appreciates what Naz will bring to the team.
“We all saw what Naz brought to the WNBL last season and it is more than what she does on the court, Naz is a quality person and at just 24 years of age, she will continue to improve, and I am sure Flyers fans will be excited that she is part of our team,” Kirsti said.
The Flyers commenced pre-season training on September 30 and Naz is expected to join her new teammates in mid-October.
