The 2021 Brydens Lawyers Community Program has a primary goal of increasing the participation rates of women in sports, particularly basketball within regional and rural areas of New South Wales. Proudly supported by Brydens Lawyers the program has already been met with overwhelming support from the regions of Wagga Wagga & Bathurst, where the first two clinics took place earlier this year.
Members of both the NSW & local governments couldn’t express the value and importance that these clinics had not only on developing basketball skills but also and more importantly giving their local communities positive role models for young females to look up too. The clinics are designed to develop individual skills whilst concurrently providing a pathway & role model for young females to look up too when it comes to pursuing their own sporting dreams.
The next phase of the program will see holiday clinics take place in the upcoming July school holiday period. The Flames, in partnership with Brydens will once again look to carry the success of the first campaigns into the upcoming holiday break.
Overall the program will look to continue to build off this momentum as the Flames look to build strong positive connections with the regional areas of NSW in the hopes of fostering the sustained growth and empowerment of young women through basketball.
